Christa Crow Ketchum

Christa’s practice is focused on all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including borrower-side financing and representing developers of large-scale shopping center developments, mixed-use, retail and industrial development projects throughout the Sunbelt.  Christa routinely advises on the structure of transactions, composing entity formation documents, drafting and negotiating purchase agreements, assisting with due diligence, acquisition, entitlements and zoning matters, reviewing and addressing title and survey issues and completing closings.  She also provides counsel to landlords in negotiating leases for office, retail, industrial and mixed-use properties, and has experience advising on and serving as intermediary in 1031 exchanges.

Prior to joining DonovanFingar, Christa had a unique combination of experience in real estate, business and corporate law.  She served as corporate counsel for several title insurance companies where she conducted both commercial and residential real estate closings, and advised and assisted in a wide range of legal matters including corporate governance, title examination, contracts and various real property matters.  She frequently led educational courses for commercial real estate clients and has co-authored and presented Continuing Legal Education Seminars for the National Legal Institute.

Christa received her J.D. from The University of Alabama School of Law in 2005, and received her undergraduate degree from The University of Alabama in 2002.  Christa is licensed by both the Alabama and Texas State Bar Associations.
